Crews have halted their search for a man and a dog reported missing Wednesday morning in a Lake Barrington creek, according to officials. Lt. Michael Brown of the Barrington Fire Department said shortly before 11:30 a.m., a witness reported he saw a white male with black hair and a dog in the middle of Flint Creek, near the Lake Barrington village hall. The search covered portions of the creek and the Fox River, but it was called off by 7 p.m.
