Get an intense workout in Fitness MMA Conditioning classes at Schaumburg Park District

Take a bit of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, mix in some Muay Thai and add a touch of wrestling to the mix to get one of the most intense workouts ever!

Schaumburg Park District will offer new Fitness MMA Conditioning classes for ages 15 and older. Mixed Martial Arts, or MMA, is rapidly becoming a popular sport and workout regimen. This total body workout enables men and women to develop strength, burn fat and achieve the fit body of an MMA fighter. Every class consists of drills from MMA disciplines including aerobic exercises such as shadow boxing and footwork, anaerobic exercises such as punching and kicking focus mitts, and grappling bags in muscle-building resistance exercises. The class is non-contact between participants, but contact with mitts and exercise equipment is used.

“Fitness MMA will take your fitness kickboxing to the next level and increase your calorie burn,” said Jennie Bever, fitness supervisor for the District.
