Healthy Lombard Announces “Hot Spots”
This summer, as part of Healthy Lombard’s Flat Apple “Activity, two registration locations are featuring “Hot Spots,” Days when participants can earn double raffle tickets if they take their “healthy photo” by the Flat Apple “Hot Spot” sign. The Main and Roosevelt Jewel Osco Pharmacy’s “Hot Spot” dates are Saturday June 29th and July 27th. Advocate Good Samaritan Health & Wellness Center’s date is July 15th!
The Flat Apple Activity involves participants (youth and adults) taking photographs of themselves with the Healthy Lombard’s logo card as they participate in “healthy activities” all summer long (i.e. walking on the Prairie Path, swimming at Discovery Bay, participating in a class at the Tri-Town YMCA). One raffle ticket will be exchanged for each photo taken. During the week of July 29, participants return to any of the sponsoring locations, show their photos (processed and printed, or on their cell phones, iPads, tablets) and, in exchange, receive one raffle ticket for each of their photos.
The raffle drawing will be held in August at the quarterly Healthy Lombard meeting. Winners will be notified by email and invited to a Flat Apple Celebration to be held in September. Raffle prizes will consists of Gift Baskets donated by each of the 16 Flat Apple distribution sites.
