Rock-Around-the-Clock at West Chicago library

The public is invited to join in all the fun as the West Chicago Public Library District presents a “Rock Around the Clock” Sock Hop and Car Show this Saturday, June 29 from 1-3 pm. We'll be celebrating the fabulous 50s with music, dancing, contests, and more!

Be sure to dress appropriately for:

Hula Hoop Contest – 1:30 pm

Twist Dance-Off – 2:00 pm

Best Dressed Award – 2:30 pm

Best Car in Show Award – 2:30 pm

So get ready to “rock ‘n roll” as we step back in time to the 50s!

This summer, the more you read the more chances you'll have to win some great prizes with our summer reading program, “Have Book – Will Travel!” There are programs for all ages. For details, check the website for our “Get Connected” newsletter. The summer reading program will run from June 8 through July 26.
