Bozek makes U.S. women’s Olympic hockey team

Buffalo Grove native Megan Bozek has been named to the 25-player roster for the U.S. Women’s National Team that will compete in the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia.

The Stevenson graduate is one of three Illinois natives to make the roster. Lisa Chesson, a defenseman from Plainfield, will be playing in her second games. Kendall Coyne, a forward from Palos Heights, is set to play in her first Olympics.

Bozek won a second straight NCAA title with Minnesota this season, scoring 57 points — 20 goals and 37 assists — in 41 games this season.
