Three teens charged in Gurnee auto burglaries

Three teenagers were arrested following a string of auto burglaries in Gurnee, police announced Friday.

Robert Schwab, 19, of the 39000 block of North Delany Road in Wadsworth, was charged with four counts of burglary, and one count of theft. Gregory Smith, 18, of the 2600 block of Sixth Street in Winthrop Harbor, was charged with three counts of burglary and one count of theft. Additionally, a 17-year-old Waukegan resident is headed to juvenile court on burglary and theft charges.

The arrests were made after police received a tip, according to a news release. No details were available about the burglaries.
