AbbVie declares 40 cent per share dividend
The board of directors of North Chicago-based AbbVie Inc. declared a quarterly cash dividend of 40 cents per share, payable Aug. 15 to stockholders of record at the close of business on July 15.
AbbVie was named to the S&P Dividend Aristocrats Index, which tracks companies that have annually increased their dividend for at least 25 consecutive years. AbbVie was included as a result of the Index’s change in its treatment of spinoff companies. AbbVie is the biopharmaceutical company that split from Libertyville Township-based Abbott Laboratories in January.
