Fundraisers planned for Addison student struck by car

Fundraising efforts have begun to help the family of an Addison Trail High School senior who was struck by a car on graduation day.

Dylan Domek, 19, remained in critical condition Thursday at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where he’s been treated since the early morning accident June 9 in Chicago.

On Sunday, a pancake breakfast will raise money for the Domek family from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Alta Villa Banquets, 430 N. Addison Road, Addison.

The event will be followed at 5 p.m. by the Addison Rec Center’s All-Star Night, which is being dedicated to Domek.

All-Star Night takes place at Centennial Park and includes baseball, a silent auction with sports memorabilia, games and contests.

Donations to the family also can be made out to the Addison Rec Club and sent to P.O. Box 112, Addison, IL, 60101.

In addition, a page has been created at www.lotsahelpinghands.com to provide updates on Dylan’s progress and community events for his family.
