Citizens for Conservation offers July Day Camp

Citizens for Conservation Youth Education invites curious children to be part of the fun and excitement at their Leave No Child Inside and STEM-oriented Day camp for children entering first and second grades. Camp is from 9 a.m.-11:30 a.m. Monday, July 15,-Friday, July 19.

Children will explore the natural world through hands-on science in CFC’s award-winning Flint Creek Savanna. Discoveries will include plants, bugs, mammals, amphibians, birds and more. Campers will discover prairies, savannas and wetlands, follow trails and enjoy a stream.

Camp is held rain or shine at CFC headquarters, 459 W. Highway 22, in Lake Barrington. Look for the white farmhouse with a silo. Camp fee is $100 for members and $150 for nonmembers. Registration forms are found on the Youth Education page on CFC’s website, www.citizensforconservation.org.

For additional information, email youth-ed@citizensforconservaion.org or call (847) 382-SAVE (7283). Welcome to field explorations!
