Barrington area home schoolers hold charity toy sale

Members of the Barrington Area Home Schoolers group are hosting their 8th Annual Kids Toy Sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, June 13, and Friday, June 14, at Algonquin Township at 3702 U.S. Hwy. 14 in Crystal Lake.

Since 2004, the Barrington Area Home Schoolers have made contributions of more than $10,000 to Bright Hope in Hoffman Estates and the project in Haiti they support.

All proceeds from the toy sale will go to feed students at the Mayaya School in Haiti through Bright Hope. They are raising money to help feed 50 kids, finish building an outhouse, and help support the new gardening program. For every $102 raised, Barrington Area Home Schoolers through Bright Hope will be able to feed one student for a year.

The Barrington Area Home Schoolers (BAHS) mission is to strengthen Christian home school families by fostering relationships, providing activities, and inspiring learning.
