Enter your best shots in Cary photo contest

Submitted by Cary Park District

The Cary Park District challenges area residents to enter their best shot in an amateur photo contest open to youth, teens and adults.

The rules are simple — as you enjoy your parks, facilities, and recreation programs, capture these moments on camera. Photos submitted must have been taken at Cary Park District parks, facilities or during a Cary Park District recreation program or special event.

All photos will be displayed at the end of June and during the month of July to commemorate National Recreation and Parks Month. A traveling exhibit will be on display at Cary Park District facilities and on the park district’s website. Up to 10 photos will be selected for consideration for the “People’s Choice Award,” where the public may select their favorite.

Voting may be done online and at Cary Park District facilities. Winners will be announced at a “Concert in the Park” in July.

Complete rules and entry forms can be found at www.carypark.com and at the Cary Park District Community Center. There is no fee to enter and each person may submit up to two photographs. All entries must be received at the Community Center, 255 Briargate Road, by 8 p.m. Sunday, June 16.
