Elk Grove Village to recognize police officers

Three Elk Grove Village police officers will receive commendations at Tuesday’s village board meeting for lifesaving acts performed while on duty.

Officers Edwin Medina and Nicholas Langendorf will be presented with the police department’s Life Saving Award for pulling a man out of a burning vehicle after a May 13 car crash. Officer Steven Prindle will be presented with the department’s Certificate of Commendation for helping locate a resident who was in need of medical assistance on April 26.

The awards will be presented at the beginning of the 7 p.m. June 18 meeting.
