Sikich acquires consulting group from PKF Texas

Naperville-based Sikich LLP announced it has acquired the Consulting Solutions group at Pannell Kerr Forster of Texas, P.C., a CPA and professional advisory firm. Terms of the acquisition were not announced.

The acquisition geographically expands Sikich, now operating an office in Houston; and allows the firm to add to its team of Microsoft Dynamics NAV professionals, the company said in a release.

“Acquiring PKF’s Consulting Solutions group is a significant step in expanding Sikich’s technology practice, but it also marks a crucial point in the firm’s overall growth by entering a new market in the fast-growing Houston area,” said Jeff Rudolph, partner-in-charge of Sikich’s technology practice. “We are excited to welcome several smart, experienced and dedicated staff members who will continue working with their clients as well as new and existing Sikich clients to implement and support Microsoft Dynamics NAV — both in Houston and throughout the country.”

The company will add eight people from PKF, including Greg Price, CPA, CISA, CFE, joining as a partner in the firm’s technology practice. With more than 30 years of experience, Price specializes in Microsoft Dynamics NAV implementations and support, particularly within the energy industry. He is a former member of the Microsoft Dynamics NAV U.S. Partner Advisory Board, as well as an Advisory Board member for numerous organizations, including the Houston Technology Center, Texas A&M Center for New Ventures, Rice Alliance for Innovation and Technology, and LSU Stephenson Entrepreneurship Institute.
