The village of Lakewood will hold its second annual Celebrate Lakewood festival from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday, June 9, at Redtail Golf Club, 7900 Redtail Drive. It is free fun for the whole family.

Festivities will include games, face painting, a moon bounce, balloon artist, driving range for kids and raffle prizes.

Vehicles from the police, fire and public works departments will be on hand for interactive fun.

Beginning at 1 p.m., 4 Strings Attached, a group of child violinists from the Martin Lopez Academy, will be performing.

At 2 p.m., there will be a demonstration from the Illinois Martial Arts Academy. Music will be performed throughout the celebration by Bob Bero.

Donate a nonperishable food or paper item for the Grafton Food Pantry and receive a free soda or hot dog. Limit one free item per person. There will be free popcorn and snow cones.

Win a free foursome, plus many other raffle prizes.

In keeping with the village’s commitment to the environment, there also will be an opportunity to drop off recyclables for electronics, Styrofoam, cardboard and batteries.
