Dolton man charged with sex-trafficking of minor
LANSING, Ill — Authorities say a suburban Chicago man is being held on $1 million bond for allegedly attempting to force a juvenile girl into prostitution.
The Cook County Sheriff’s Department says that 22-year-old Guillaume Thomas of Dolton was charged with involuntary sexual servitude of a minor and human trafficking.
He was arrested Wednesday night at a Lansing hotel after sheriff’s deputies and local police conducted a sting operation. He appeared in bond court this weekend.
The sheriff’s departments say the officers responded to an ad on an Internet site and located a “female juvenile” apparently working as a prostitute.
The girl was reunited with her family and referred for services through the sheriff’s Women’s Justice Programs.
Thomas is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday at the Cook County courthouse in Markham.
