Parking lot has no benefit to village

The Orchard Evangelical Free Church wants to tear down eight nice homes on nine lots to create an even larger parking lot. I cannot see how this could possibly benefit the residents of Arlington Heights in any way. The approximately $80,000 per year in real estate taxes supporting our fine schools, parks and services would be lost. More asphalt and water runoff would replace families and tree-lined streets. I join the many others in opposing The Orchard’s expansion plans.
