Creek Bend Nature Center hosts its grand opening celebration

The Forest Preserve District of Kane County invites you to its Creek Bend Nature Center's grand opening celebration from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, June 1, at LeRoy Oakes Forest Preserve, 37W700 Dean St., St. Charles.

Interactive exhibits, tours of the facility, nature hikes through LeRoy Oakes Forest Preserve, crafts, carriage rides through the preserve and games will be featured at the event.

At noon, children's author and musician Jim Gill will perform. Celebrate the grand opening with a few rounds of Jim Gill's “Silly Dance Contest” and other family favorites.
