Promenade of Art Arlington Heights
Come expose yourself to art at the Promenade of Art Arlington Heights! Produced in cooperation with the Village of Arlington Heights, this celebrated outdoor festival features the work of 110 juried artists from around the country. Taking place in Downtown Arlington Heights, at the intersection of Vail and Campbell, the Promenade of Art Arlington Heights returns for its 11th year on Saturday, June 8 and Sunday, June 9 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.
“We are thrilled to be returning to Arlington Heights for the 11th year,” said Amy Amdur, founder of Amdur Productions. “Since its inception, the festival has been supported and embraced by the art loving community of Arlington Heights. We are thrilled to carry on this tradition for the 11th year.”
Free and open to the public, Promenade of Art Arlington Heights features extraordinary artwork of all mediums, including ceramics, fiber, glass, jewelry, sculpture, mixed media, paintings, drawings, photography, printmaking, wood and furniture. With prices ranging from $20 to $2,000 and up, the festival promises something for everyone! Festival-
goers will have the opportunity to see the masters at work with interactive art demos taking place all weekend long.
This year's festival will also include the inaugural Taste of Arlington Heights. Running in conjunction with the art festival, The Taste will feature delicious dishes and drinks from many of Arlington Heights' most notable restaurants, including Armand's Pizzeria, Peggy Kinnane's Irish Restaurant & Pub, Tuscan Market & Wine Shop, Big Shot Piano Lounge & Restaurant and Harrys' of Arlington Heights.
In addition to the incredible art and tasty fare, the festival will feature live music and fun art activities for kids, including an art scavenger hunt, spin art and an interactive graffiti wall where festival-goers of all ages can make their mark! Daily drawings take place at the festival where several lucky festival-goers will receive Art Buck$, courtesy of Amdur Productions, to spend on a piece of art at any of Amdur Productions' 2013 festivals!
