Des Plaines signs vandalized

Taggers vandalized more than a dozen spots between 7 and 9:30 a.m. Monday in Des Plaines, police said.

They used black markers to write graffiti on a construction sign at 1201 Miner St.; wooden Lexington Homes real estate sign at 1290 Miner St.; a construction sign and Illinois highway route sign at1271 Miner St.; a streetlight pole at 1360 Miner St.; a Corporate Real Estate Solutions sign at 435 E. State St.; a stop sign and do not enter sign at 620 E. Northwest Hwy.; on an entrance sign at Littelfuse, 800 E. Northwest Hwy.; a plant entrance sign and no stopping standing parking sign at 801 E. Northwest Hwy.; a cigarette disposal can, electrical box, parking cards self service machine, parking pay box, Dumpster, Goroo.com advertisement sign, newspaper box, to Chicago sign on an electrical pole, salt machine, and depot sign at the Cumberland Metra depot, 485 E. Northwest Hwy., and a traffic sign at 1001 E. Northwest Hwy.

The two previous days, graffiti appeared on the ice box, awning, trim, rear door and trash bin outside Paradise Pup Restaurant, 1724 River Road; on three ramps at the skateboard park in Mountain View Adventure Center, 510 E. Algonquin Road; and on a metal shed at M & T Automotive, 1714 River Road.
