NU diving coach to lead Team USA

NU diving coach on Team USA:

Northwestern head diving coach Alik Sarkisian has been named the head coach and team leader for USA Diving at the 2013 World University Games July 6-17 in Kazan, Russia. Sarkisian will coach a squad of 12 divers from 10 different universities who were selected based on results from the World Championship and World University Games Trials. Sarkisian joined Northwestern in 2006-07 with extensive international coaching experience. He was USSR National Team coach from 1980-90, and National Team coach in his native Armenia from 1991-93 and again for the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games. He was head coach of USA Diving for the 2003 and 2005 Pan-Am Games, and led Team USA at the 2008 Grand Prix meet in Moscow, Russia.
