Summer Reading Program at the Palatine Library!

All aboard! Everyone is welcome at the Palatine Library on Saturday, June 1, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., for our Summer Reading Kickoff Day. We'll have an exciting itinerary of activities including an expert balloon artist, face painting, BINGO, and a professional photo booth! Bring the whole family to enjoy our “Have Book – Will Travel,” themed decorations and celebrate the start of the Summer Reading Program. Have some “Fun Around the World,” with Grammy nominated singer and entertainer Dave Rudolf as he delights the whole family with an interactive music show at 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Tickets are available beginning May 25, to valid District cardholders.

All adventurous readers, ages 2 through adult, are invited to join the Summer Reading Program. Sign up is easy! District cardholders can visit www.palatinelibrary.org and manage their own reading progress, or come to any Library location and staff will sign them up and log their progress.

The program begins Saturday, June 1 and ends on Thursday, August 15. Bookmobile sign up is subject to their summer schedule. Upon finishing the program, participants will receive a grand prize t-shirt, generously donated by the Friends of the Palatine Public Library. Claim your t-shirt through Wednesday, August 31, and proudly wear it around town or while on vacation. Complete the program and be entered into a drawing for a chance to win extra prizes including a Kalahari Resort weekend voucher, Keurig® Coffee Maker from Warehouse Direct, and gift cards from Target, AMC Movie Theatre, and iTunes.

Throughout the summer you can earn souvenir buttons by attending programs, telling us about a book you read, and participating in other fun activities. Collect them all!

The Palatine Public Library District (www.palatinelibrary.org) is your destination for knowledge, entertainment, and community. The District serves approximately 90,000 residents predominantly within the communities of Palatine and Hoffman Estates.
