Junior Mike Fuerst broke Hersey's single-season record for blocks as the Huskies delivered a strong showing Saturday in boys volleyball tournament play at Maine South.

Fuerst has 133 this season, breaking the mark of 129.

Hersey went 3-0 in pool play, claiming victories over Bartlett, Maine West and Loyola.

The Huskies dropped their semifinal to eventual champion Maine South before dropping the third-place match against Loyola 27-25, 20-2, 10-15.
