Trukov, Warren doubles team advance

By

Warren senior Kristiyan Trukov earned a spot in next week's boys tennis state tournament -- and he'll have some company.

Two Blue Devils doubles teams also advanced from Friday's sectional action hosted by Warren.

Saturday's action, which begins at 9 a.m., will determine champions and third-place finishers.

In singles Peter Tarwid of Lake Forest meets Braden Ward in one semifinal, while Trukov meet Brice Polander of Lake Forest in the other. Both Trukov and Polander advanced with 6-0, 6-0 quarterfinal victories.

Warren's Ben Hardiman and Ben Skelot will play Lake Forest's John Zordani and Scott Christian in one doubles semifinal, while Warren's Matt Matheny and Samuel Gudeman meet Lake Forest's Camron Bagheri and Connor O'Kelly in the other.
