S. Elgin middle school hosting a 3K walk Saturday

Kenyon Woods Middle School in South Elgin is hosting a 3K Care Walk on Saturday aimed at giving back to the community.

Students picked IM ABLE (Inclusive Multigenerational Activity Based Learning Environment) as their project. It consists of building an all-inclusive playground at SEBA Park in South Elgin.

Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. with a minimum $25 donation/pledge.

The 3K walk begins at 9 a.m. at SEBA Park, 151 S. Water Street in South Elgin. Walkers will walk to the middle school and back to the park. The FUNdation IM ABLE committee is also hosting a Fay's BBQ fundraiser from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 19. Tickets are available at village hall, 10 N. Water Street in South Elgin.
