Youth Junior Golf League at Apple Orchard begins June 12

A nine-week Junior Golf League begins June 12 and runs through Aug. 7, for ages 9-15. The league focuses on the development of lifelong golf skills with an emphasis on enjoyment, sportsmanship and golf etiquette.

Participants must have had some previous golf experience such as lessons or other golf activities, but do not need to be highly skilled.

During the season a variety of different tournament formats will be used. Everyone is assigned to a foursome and will be scheduled rotating tee times between 9:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. throughout the season. If participants wish to be assigned to the same group they must register together and attach their league registration forms. Registration forms are available at the Bartlett Community Center Registration Office or at bartlettparks.org under the Apple Orchard golf menu.

The league fee includes entry into the Freedom Fore Youth Golf Tournament on Wednesday, July 3. All league participants are eligible to purchase a golf pass for Apple Orchard Golf Course at a reduced rate. This pass allows for unlimited play until the course closes at the end of October.

Participants have two registration options: Option 1: Just sign up for the league only $90/$95; or Option 2: Sign up for the league and a season pass $215/$220.

Apple Orchard Golf Course is a par 3, nine-hole course located at 692 W. Stearns Road, in Bartlett. For more information call the clubhouse at (630) 540-4807.
