GALESBURG -- A junior student at Galesburg High School has scored a perfect 36 on the ACT.

Catharine Leahy says she took the test on her 17th birthday in February at Carl Sandburg College. The Register-Mail in Galesburg reports that according to ACT less than one-tenth of 1 percent of test-takers earn a perfect score. Leahy says science was the toughest part of the test for her.
