One injured in I-94 crash

By

At least one person has been injured in a multiple vehicle crash that is backing up traffic on eastbound I-94 in Lake County Sunday night, officials said.

Illinois State Police confirmed that they are investigating a multiple vehicle crash with at least one injury on eastbound I-94 approaching the Lake Forest Oasis.

Police did not have details on how many cars were involved or the severity of injuries, but said they were still investigating the crash, which happened between 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. on the tollway.

The crash and medical responders have caused at least two lanes to be shut down and backed up traffic. Drivers are encouraged to exit the tri-state at Route 132 or Buckley Road to avoid the slow down.
