State's Attorney Anita Alvarez announced that 56-year-old Kirk Watson of Blue Island was arrested Thursday and a judge set his bond at $250,000 on Friday.

The arrest came after authorities searched Watson's home and allegedly found the pornographic images on computers and DVDs.

Investigators also allegedly discovered a .22-caliber revolver and ammunition. Watson has a prior conviction for aggravated criminal sexual conduct.

He's now charged with two counts of child pornography and two counts of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon by a felon.

Watson is due in court again on May 31.
