Algonquin resident earns medical degree from U of I

David H. Aggen of Algonquin, IL, son of David J. and Janet S. Aggen, graduated with a Medical Degree from the College of Medicine at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Aggen received his degree in a ceremony at 2:00 p.m. on May 4, 2013 at the Alice Campbell Alumni Center in Urbana, IL.

Dr. Aggen received his undergraduate degree in Chemistry from Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington, IL and then received his Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He will enter the residency program in Internal Medicine at Wayne State University School of Medicine at Crittenton Hospital in Rochester, Mich.

The University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, College of Medicine confers the Doctor of Medicine degree through the University of Illinois at Chicago. College of Medicine students at Urbana-Champaign complete all four years of their medical education on the Urbana campus.
