Dental community invited to learn about emergency preparedness

DUPAGE COUNTY—DuPage County dentists and other dental professionals who want to learn about their roles in public health emergencies are invited to a “Dental Community Symposium to Enhance Public Health Preparedness” on Wednesday, May 15, at Medinah Shrine Center in Addison.

The DuPage County Health Department's Medical Reserve Corp is sponsoring the event to improve the County's public health infrastructure. The goal of the symposium is to increase collaboration with the dental community.

Attendees will learn about the role of the dental community in a public health emergency, how community preparedness can be enhanced at home and work and learn about current legislation and emerging trends related to vaccinations during public health emergencies.

Three Continuing Education Unit credits will be awarded by the Illinois Department of Public Health.
