2 hurt in motorcycle crash near Hampshire

A couple riding a Harley-Davidson motorcycle lost control and struck a guardrail Sunday afternoon near Hampshire, police say.

The Hampshire Fire Protection District and Kane County sheriff's office responded to the call at about 3:15 p.m. The couple, in their late 40s, were both seriously injured in the crash, which happened on Allen Road just east of Walker Road. Both were airlifted from the scene to St. Anthony Hospital in Rockford.
