Religion shouldn’t be blamed

I object to the headline reporting on the Boston Marathon bombing that said: “Officials: Brothers were driven by religion.” As though it is all religious. How unfair and bigoted to so brand religion in general as the cause.

If such a crime were committed by a nonreligious person would the headline read: “The person was driven by nonreligious people or by secularism”?

I will be looking for an apology by whomever is responsible for the Daily Herald headline on April 23.
