Time for salad in Exchange Club of Gurnee fundraiser

Exchange Club of Gurnee will host its 25th annual Salad in the Park spring fundraiser from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 14.

It’ll be at the Gurnee Park District’s Viking Park Dance Hall, 4374 Old Grand Ave.

Tickets are $7, which entitles diners to salad, soup of your choice — broccoli cheese or chicken noodle — a roll and a drink. Tickets also allow patrons to participate in a drawing for two tickets to a Cubs game or four tickets to a White Sox contest.

In addition to the salad, a bake sale will be on the premises.

Proceeds from the event will go to fund grants provided to local organizations that, through their work, help to fight child abuse.

Tickets may be purchased at the door or in advance from any Exchange Club member. Carryout orders will be accepted via fax at (847) 623-5826 or email. The email to use is exchangeclubofgurnee@gmail.com.

The deadline for carryout orders is Thursday, May 9.
