Chicago firefighter killed in motorcycle crash

SPRINGFIELD — A 37-year-old Chicago firefighter has been killed in a motorcycle crash in Springfield.

The (Springfield) State Journal-Register reported that Sean Sloe was in Springfield to visit relatives on Thursday and was driving his motorcycle onto Interstate 55 when he lost control. He fell to the ground. The paper reports that he was then struck by a truck.

Sloe's brother, Mike, is a Springfield firefighter.
