Des Plaines railroad crossing closing Friday for repairs

The Canadian National Railroad crossing at Woodlawn Avenue in Des Plaines will be closed for reconstruction starting at 8 a.m. Friday, May 3 through Tuesday, May 7.

Motorists are advised to use caution and observe detour routes posted: Prairie Avenue to the south, First Avenue to the west, and Arlington Avenue to the east.
