Check your food beyond FDA approval

Do Americans know exactly what it takes for food to be approved by the FDA? My guess is they don't. I am in awe about how many people do not investigate what they consume and just trust the FDA's approval. It is even more shocking how many crooks and cheats there are in the food industry strictly for profit.
In contrast, I see all natural food companies as honest and safe, in light of the deaths caused by "safe" pharmaceuticals and the obesity/health risks from FDA-approved food. I'm sure others share the opinion that the FDA should take more consideration in banning pesticides, toxins and harmful drugs as well as promote organic foods and medicines.
I believe America should take greater steps to be healthy, intelligent and active to improve the quality of life for generations to come. Especially with the increasing health concerns among Americans, the FDA should ban the poisons Americans unknowingly consume daily.
