Fahrrad Tour Von Schaumburg Bike Ride and Picnic May 19

The Fahrrad Tour Von Schaumburg Bike Ride and Picnic will celebrate Schaumburg’s German heritage from noon to 2:15 p.m., Sunday, May 19.

Riders will begin the group tour at Blackwell Elementary School, 345 N. Walnut Lane, promptly at noon. The entire family will enjoy the one-hour police guided bike tour along five miles of Schaumburg bikeways. The bike ride will end at Robert O. Atcher Municipal Center with a picnic featuring a free hot dog or brat, chips, a drink and entertainment.

Bus transportation will be provided for participants and their bikes from the Village Plaza back to Blackwell Elementary School beginning at 1:45 p.m.

Preregistration is not required. All riders must sign a liability waiver prior to departure. Beginners and riders with training wheels are not advised to participate.

A limited number of T-shirts will be available for $10 each.
