Coroner: Missing Normal man drowned to death

HUDSON — The McLean County coroner says it appears a central Illinois man whose body was found in a lake drowned to death.

WJBC radio in Bloomington reports that coroner Beth Kimmerling said Monday that drowning is the preliminary cause of death for 35-year-old Sebert Crose Jr. Crose had gone missing for two weeks before a fisherman found his body in Evergreen Lake on Sunday. That's near Hudson just north of Bloomington and Normal.

Kimmerling says Crose was found in about 10 to 15 feet of water. Police are continuing to search for Crose's truck.

Crose was last seen April 15.
