Des Plaines bank hosts shredding event Saturday

Village Bank & Trust will host a free community Shredding Party from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, May 4, at the bank's Des Plaines location, 1545 Ellinwood St.

"The public is invited to keep personal information safe and the community green by bringing up to three boxes of items to shred," 1st Ward Alderman Patricia Haugeberg said in an announcement of the event.
