Algonquin

• A 15-year-old boy from Carpentersville was arrested Friday at the Algonquin Meijer on the 400 block of South Randall Road and charged with retail theft, police said. Police said the teen was also wanted on a juvenile warrant out of Kane County. He was later taken to the Kane County Juvenile Detention Center. No other information was available.

Kane County

• Shane A. Pritchett, 29, of the 4100 block of Queen Ann's Way, Poplar Grove, was arrested at 12:24 a.m. Thursday at Highland Avenue and Coombs Road, near Elgin, according to a sheriff's report. He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and illegal transportation of open alcohol.

• Someone slit one tire, and possibly another, on the 100 block of Pheasant Trail, near Carpentersville, it was reported at 3:01 a.m. April 21, according to a sheriff's report.
