Streamwood wins 2: The Sabres opened play in the Romeoville tournament with a 4-1 win over Bremen and a 9-3 victory over Rich East. Katelyn Hedger allowed just 4 hits with 10 strikeouts and no walks in the win over Bremen. Natalie Filippio (3-for-4, 2B) and Holly Foret (3-for-4, RBI) led the Streamwood offense, Kylie Jambor had a double and 2 RBI and Brittany Delao a triple and an RBI. Against Rich East, Jessica Daley got the win for the Sabres (3-10), allowing 6 hits with 2 walks and 2 strikeouts. Filippio, Foret, Sarah Cimino and Mercedes Olmos had RBI for Streamwood and Jambor went 2-for-4.

Prairie Ridge 7, Jacobs 4: Alyssa Lach was 2-for-4 with a double and Nicky Chapa 2-for-3 with a double for Jacobs (9-5, 2-2) in the Fox Valley Conference Valley Division. Kelsey Peters took the loss for the Golden Eagles despite allowing just 4 hits and 3 earned runs.

CL South 9, Dundee-Crown 3: Hailee Massie allowed just 2 hits and had 7 strikeouts and no walks for the Gators in the FVC Valley. She also went 2-for-4 at the plate. Lauren Gauger was 2-for-3 with 2 RBI for Crystal Lake South (9-3, 1-2). Mandy Moore had a triple and 3 RBI for the Chargers, while Rachel Chlopek was 2-for-3. Lauren Girard was the losing pitcher for Dundee-Crown (2-7, 0-3).

Burlington Central 8, Harvard 0: Brooke Gaylord threw a seven-inning no-hitter with 11 strikeouts and 1 walk as the Rockets won their 12th straight in this Big Northern East game. Bekah Harnish was 3-for-3 with a double, triple and 3 RBI and Kayla Ross went 3-for-3 with 2 runs scored for BC (15-1, 7-0). Gaylord also had a double and 2 RBI.

South Elgin 18, East Aurora 1: Brittany Koss was 4-for-4 with 2 doubles and 5 RBI as South Elgin pounded out 20 hits and won easily in the Upstate Eight Valley. Winning pitcher Taylor Rees (3-for-3, 2B, 3 RBI), Paige Allen (3-for-4, RBI), Shannon Schooler (3-for-3, 3B, 2 RBI), Victoria Watt (2 RBI), Cassidy Westlund (RBI), Sam Helton (2-for-4, RBI), Demi Queen (2B, RBI) and Taylor Ford (2-for-3, RBI) also contributed for the Storm (11-5, 7-1). Rees allowed just 1 hit in 5 innings. She had 7 strikeouts and 1 walk.

Huntley 13, Woodstock 1: Winning pitcher Haley Spannraft was 3-for-3 with a triple, Angela Tribuzio went 2-for-3 with a double and 3 RBI and Jessica Shields was 3-for-4 with an RBI to lead Huntley (11-5, 1-3) to a FVC win. Spannraft allowed just 4 hits and had 3 strikeouts and no walks.

Westminster Christian 13, Luther North 8: Rachel Fugiel was 4-for-5 with a single, double, triple and home run to lead the Warriors to a Northeast Athletic Conference win. Rebecca Fugiel was 2-for-4 with 2 triples for Westminster (5-4, 3-1).

Bartlett 12, Lane Tech 2: Kayla Haberstich was 2-for-3 with a home run and 4 RBI to lead the Hawks to a win in the opening round of the Rolling Meadows tournament. Sana Paul (2-for-3, RBI), Alex Morales (RBI) and Sydney Johnson (2B, 2 RB (also contributed for Bartlett (13-6). Jessica Kirby was the winning pitcher, going 3 innings and allowing 2 runs on 4 hits.
