ShredFest offered in Elgin April 27

Submitted by KCT Credit Union

KCT Credit Union is hosting a free communitywide ShredFest from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 27 at its Elgin branch at 111 S. Hawthorne St. in Elgin.

The ShredFest offers the community a free and convenient way to safely dispose of sensitive material and private documents. Documents dropped off at KCT will be shredded on-site in a specialized truck provided by Cintas Document Management.

“We are more than happy to provide this added value for the communities we serve. This event helps raise awareness about the importance of shredding personal documents to protect against identity theft,” said Kristine Kowalski, VP marketing.

Participants will receive a complimentary reusable tote, while supplies last.
