Three New Attorneys Join Lavelle Law, Ltd in Palatine

The Palatine based law firm of Lavelle Law, Ltd, has announced the addition of three new attorneys. Jenét Pequeño, James Doerr and Brian Warens have begun work at the firm. The new hires bring the total number of attorneys in the firm to seventeen.

Founding Partner Kerry Lavelle notes that this latest expansion is reflective of the current state of the practice. “We are able to expand at this exciting pace because of the trust established with our existing clients, the number of referrals we receive from colleagues, and the reputation that the partners, attorneys, and staff have developed via a genuine commitment to our community. The skills and experience that Jenét, Jim, and Brian bring to our firm should further enhance our ability to provide services that exceed our clients' expectations.”

Jenét Pequeño will join the Family Law Practice Group at Lavelle Law. A graduate of Northern Illinois University and the University of Miami School of Law, Pequeño has taken on a full case load since joining the firm last month. “It's gratifying to have an opportunity to join a firm with the reputation of Lavelle Law. I look forward to working with colleagues across multiple practice groups and being able to provide our clients with the most comprehensive legal services.” Fluent in Spanish, Pequeño will also expand the services Lavelle Law currently provides to local residents through the Palatine Opportunity Center.

James Doerr comes to Lavelle Law with nearly two decades of trial experience. Raised in the western suburbs, Doerr graduated from Benet Academy in Lisle and received a B.A. in Political Science from Benedictine University before being awarded his J.D. from the Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan. Doerr will focus his efforts primarily on the Criminal Defense Practice Group. “I've been impressed with the level of commitment exhibited at Lavelle Law by the partners, attorneys, and staff, and look forward to sharing my experience with the current client base as well as doing my part to attract new business to the firm.”

A graduate of Loyola University Chicago and the Chicago Kent College of Law, Brian Warens will join the Estate Planning Practice Group at Lavelle Law. “Assisting clients with estate plans, trusts, estate administration, and the tax ramifications of each continues to be a growing part of the Lavelle Law practice. I look forward to contributing to the excellent work already being done by the staff and other attorneys here,” said Warens. Lavelle indicated that the continued rise in those service areas warranted Warens' addition to the firm.

Lavelle Law. Ltd was founded as a single attorney practice in 1989 as Lavelle Legal Services. Today the firm has been widely recognized for its legal work and community involvement, receiving the 2009 Business of the Year Award from the Palatine Chamber of Commerce, capturing a 2012 Award for Business Excellence, and the Al Knox Corporate Ethics Award. The firm has operated the annual Palatine and Arlington Heights Food Drives for a number of years each holiday season, along with supporting numerous other charitable events.
