Daily Herald report

Schaumburg police on Sunday arrested Daniel Anthony O'Shea, 44, of 1300 block of East Algonquin Road in Schaumburg, in connection with the burglary of a vehicle at a village park.

Prosecutors approved charges of burglary and possession of burglary tools after the arrest, which occurred about 12:30 p.m. Sunday as detectives were conducting surveillance near Olympic Park, 1675 E. Old Schaumburg Road.

Police said the detectives observed O'Shea in the parking lot where he broke a car window and removed a purse that had been left lying on the back seat. Detectives then followed O'Shea to his home where they arrested him, police said.

Information was not immediately available Monday on O'Shea's bond or next court date.
