A free workshop for homeowners associations and property owners responsible for maintaining the detention ponds, drainage swales, wetlands and natural areas in subdivisions is set for 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 24, at the Lake County Central Permit Facility, 500 W. Winchester Road, Libertyville. New this year is an exhibit starting at 6 p.m. featuring vendors who design, install, and maintain stormwater management components. Workshop topics include why stormwater drainage systems are important components of infrastructure, maintenance techniques and practices, and how to resolve typical problems.
