Hanover Park couple charged after cannabis bust

A man and a woman have been charged after Hanover Park police found 407 grams of cannabis, cannabis plants in various stages of growth, drug paraphernalia, scales and high-wattage lights at their home, police said Friday.

Steven Groble, 54, and Vanessa Glover, 45, were taken into custody after officers executed a search warrant at 7 a.m. Wednesday at their residence on the 900 block of Roxbury Court.

Both suspects were charged with charged with unlawful possession of cannabis, possession of cannabis with intent to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia. In addition, Groble was charged with unlawful production of cannabis.

They appeared Thursday at the Cook County courthouse in Rolling Meadows for a bond hearing, where a judge set Groble’s bail at $100,000 and Glover’s bail at $20,000. Both are due back in court at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 14.

Chief David Webb said community involvement brought the case to the police department’s attention.
