Level 10 Gymnast Melissa Jordan competes in Gymnastics Nationals
Former Gurnee resident, 16 year old Melissa Jordan qualified in Gymnastic Regionals in St. Louis MO on April 12th. She will move on to compete in Nationals in Minneapolis MN on May 9th. Melissa currently resides in Kenosha WI where she trains at Scamps Gymnastics with coach Jay Murphy. She is a Level 10 gymnast and has been training since she was 4 years old. Previously a Warren Township High School student, she now attends Indian Trail in Kenosha where she is finishing her junior year. Melissa has several colleges already interested in her. She competes all around in vault, beam, floor and bars. As a freshman she participated in an international competition in Madrid Spain with gymnasts from many other countries.
