Pitching matchups: The Sox' Jake Peavy (2-1) vs. Vance Worley (0-2) Friday at 7:10 p.m.; Gavin Floyd (0-3) vs. Scott Diamond (0-1) Saturday at 2:05 p.m.; Dylan Axelrod (0-1) vs. Kevin Correia (1-1) Sunday at 1:10 p.m.

At a glance: The White Sox are happy to be home following their first road trip of the season, a challenging 10-game test at Washington, Cleveland and Toronto. The Twins are off to a decent start at 6-7. Poor weather wiped out home games at Target Field Sunday vs. the Mets and Wednesday vs. the Angels. The Sox were 14-4 vs. Minnesota last season, outscoring the Twins 113-77. Peavy was strong in his last start, vs. the Indians Sunday, allowing 1 run on 5 hits in 7 innings. He also had 11 strikeouts. White Sox pitching coach Don Cooper is due back after missing the entire road trip due to diverticulitis.

Next: Cleveland Indians, Monday-Wednesday at U.S. Cellular Field
