The Elgin Police Department offers a program to residents called "Family Finder." The names of individuals who have the propensity to become disoriented and/or lost are entered into a database along with photographs and other pertinent information, which would be used in the event a person goes missing.

Individuals wishing to sign up a loved one may do so online through the police department website at www.cityofelgin.org.
