Power surge for unbeaten Barrington

Barrington’s softball team belted its 11th and 12th home runs of the season and remained unbeaten with a 7-1 victory at Rolling Meadows on Friday.

Senior Krista Moore belted a 2-run homer in the third inning and junior Erin Ward (3-for-4, double) hit a solo blast to lead off the fourth as the Fillies improved to 9-0 and 2-0 in the Mid-Suburban League.

Sophomore Keenan Dolezal threw a 1-hitter with 10 strikeouts to improve to 7-0.

Other multiple hitters for Barrington were senior Tess Bolger (2-for-3, double), senior Loren Krzysko (3-for-4, double) and junior Katie Dehnert (2-for-4).

Senior Sam Anderson (1-for-2, stolen base) had the only hit for the Mustangs (4-4, 0-2).
